Every single property put on the market to date by MIDI plc has been sold, the development consortium has reported.
A total of 281 units at the Tigné Point development have been handed over to their owners with the last 4 apartments from the latest launch now all on promise of sale.
“All the designer apartments in the recent piazza phase launched last year have now been reserved along with the rest of the residential phases launched to date,” MIDI’s CEO Luke Coppini said, adding that the retail space was also almost fully occupied with just one outlet on the piazza now remaining.
“The majority of purchasers this year have been overseas buyers though a number of apartments have been purchased by locals. Estate agents have also been successful on this project and have been responsible for half of the sales in the latest phase”.
Mr Coppini added that the recent initiative to re-launch the Global Residence Programme will undoubtedly help attract further foreigners to consider relocating to Malta.
Recent visitors to Pjazza Tigné would have noticed a new block under construction on the seaward side of the square. ‘’This is the next phase which will be released for sale shortly” Mr. Coppini said, “It is situated directly on the waterfront and commands stunning views over the mouth of Marsamxetto Creek and the open sea. Works on site are proceeding steadily and all is set for an Autumn launch when potential buyers will be able to view a fully fledged ‘show apartment’ on the 1st floor. This will be followed by the development’s Business Centre which will provide some 14,000 sqm of high grade office space and underlying catering offers overlooking the car free Pjazza Tigné and the open sea’’.
The award-winning Tigné Point development benefits from the advantages of Sliema’s lifestyle without the inconvenience normally associated with parking, traffic and unchecked sporadic construction,” Mr. Coppini concluded, pointing out that the project’s biggest selling point was its convenience and tranquil environment. “The continuing sales prove that notwithstanding the amount of unoccupied property on the market in general, good quality property with the right attributes sell and the upper end of the market continues to attract homeowners and investors, both local and foreign.
