Tigné Point is situated on a peninsula along the north-eastern coast of Malta. It is surrounded by the open sea on one side, the natural harbour of Marsamxett towards the tip and the town of Sliema at the other end.

Though the complex itself is secluded from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the island, Tigné Point is nonetheless well connected to all of Malta. Those who wish to venture farther afield will find a nexus of transport facilities, including buses, ferries and taxis, practically on their door step.

Airport

Malta’s International Airport is a 20-minute drive from Tigné Point and connects Malta to all the major European airports. The airport is home to Air Malta, the Maltese national carrier, along with numerous budget airlines such as Ryanair, EasyJet and Vueling.

  • Malta – London: 3 hours & 15 minutes
  • Malta – Paris: 2 hours & 45 minutes
  • Malta – Rome: 1 hour & 25 minutes

Bus Service

The bus service in Malta is well connected and operates to 2,000 bus stops across Malta and Gozo. Users can also avail of the ‘Tallinja’ App which is free to download and helps you plan your journeys.

Bus Routes to know:

  • Bus route X2 operates between the Malta International Airport and St Julian’s and stops in Sliema and Tigné Point.
  • Bus route 21 operates between Sliema and Valletta and stops at Tigné Point.

Sliema - Valletta Ferry Service

A ferry service operates daily from Sliema to the capital Valletta. The ferry berths at the Sliema Ferries which is only a 10 minute walk from Tigné Point, and departs every 30 minutes. The trip takes approximately 15 minutes. Operating times vary according to the season.

There are numerous vehicle chauffeur services in Malta to choose from. More recently Malta has seen the uptake of taxi and car sharing apps. Vehicle rentals are popular too, many of which can be booked at the airport.
